Welcome!
You've found the Numb Lemon! Congratulations! That was quite an accomplishment and I'm very proud of you.
On a more serious note, you're probably wondering what you're doing here and why the Numb Lemon is here at all. I can't answer the first part of that but I can answer why this site exists in one word: Yellow. Yes, Yellow.
So... what are we doing here? Well, we are going to explore all things yellow for starters. Naturally, we will be taking a good look into the world of lemons too. We might even take a look at some things related to lemons, like limes or even oranges. Then we'll tackle green and orange. Citrus fruits and the colors associated with them. How's that for starters?
The plan is to have fun while doing all of this. And it's very likely that both you and I will probably learn something that we didn't already know in the process.
Finding yellow around you
Look all around you. Seriously. Odds are very high that there is something within your reach that is some shade of yellow or is partially yellow. Do you see it? Of course you do.
Just at a glance, I have several yellow items within my reach. A yellow Sharpie, three silk flowers, several post-its in more than one shade of yellow, a couple of Cold-Eeze all natural honey lemon flavor lozenges, a piece of yellow ribbon, three Garfield rubber figurines that are a golden yellow shade and numerous books that have yellow in their covers. You get the idea. That's where we're going with this project.
A little background
How did I arrive at the thought of doing all of this? Well, it must have come to me in a dream as I have no other explanation for it. It felt like a worthwhile endeavor at the time that the idea first hit me, something I don't think that anyone has yet bothered to do or if they have, I have yet to bump into it. It seems like a fair thing to tackle with loads of information that can be gathered.
Why lemons? Why more than lemons? Good questions with relatively easy answers. Lemons have a place in most of our lives. We eat them, we make drinks with them, they scent our homes, our laundry, our cleaning materials and they simply look and smell nice. Limes and oranges are related to lemons by being other varieties of citrus fruit, and they share many of the same uses.
How does "numb" fit in? Actually it doesn't, at least at any level that I am currently aware of. We may just stumble into the answer to that as we proceed with this exploration.
